sweet and coating with notes of dates, apricot, caramel and pecan nuts finish
Fazenda Pantano is nothing new at our roastery. We already roasted this well-known coffee in our roasting beginnings. Fazenda Pantano is located in the middle of Cerrado (= savanna) of Central Brazil in the federal state Minas Gerais, close to the city of Patos de Minas. It covers a total area of 600 hectares and is operated by the Ferrero family. More than 100 hectares of the land are kept uncultivated as a permanent natural forest reserve which is a legal requirement under Brazilian law.
The farm management supports a local school and funds various trainings for the staff. Besides the traditional natural processing method, Fazenda Pantano also applies the so called „eco-washing“ method. After harvesting the cherries are pulped and then immediately dried on African beds. This saves water and protects the environment.
After the difficult times and last year's problems, this origin shows itself again in its full beauty. This coffee is full of sweet tones of dates, apricots or caramel, complemented by the gentle acidity of citrus and the aftertaste of pecans, which makes it an excellent balanced espresso for everyday drinking.
